2015 Increase in disability benefit payments

In 2015, the monthly Social Security (disability and retirement) benefitsand Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits of nearly 64 million Americans increased by 1.7 percent.  This cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) is effective on December 31, 2014 for SSI beneficiaries.
