The Social Security Administration proposes a rule on reporting beneficiaries to gun control data base.
The Social Security Administration proposes to report certain disability beneficiaries to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). The NICS requires federal agencies to submit to the Attorney General “any record of any person demonstrating that the person falls within one of certain categories of individuals excluded from owning or purchasing a firearm or ammunition by the Gun Control Act of 1968.
